In a strategic power play, the Orlando Magic Organization have limited JJ Redick's playing in an attempt to prevent Redick from taking away Dwight Howard’s limelight as the face of the team. Confidential information recently appeared explaining the reasons for Redick’s lack of playing time.
“He is seen as too strong of a player, with the ability to take over game as well as wooing and wowing the crowd,” stated a Magic insider. “We are committed to Dwight and we are not going to let some number eleven draft pick come in and steal his thunder. We don’t care how well known his is, what his credentials are, or whether or not he can help the team. Dwight is the franchise! Dwight comes first. Winning comes second.”
With Redick seeing more and more playing time as of late, it looks as though Dwight could soon be in trouble. The fans are amazed at Redick’s ability to shoot, a skill Dwight has yet to master.
If Redick’s recent success continues there is a can guarantee that he won’t be see on the floor much longer. With Redick scoring 12 against the Knicks Monday night, look for him to be bench the next game with the threat of back to back double digit performances. Too many more commendable games and Redick will finish the season how he started, injured and benched.
