J.D. Maarleveld (John David Maarleveld) was born on October 24, 1961 in Jersey City, New Jersey. After going to high school at St. Joseph's of the Palisades (West New York, NJ), Maarleveld attended the University of Maryland and the University of Notre Dame. Maarleveld made his professional debut in the NFL in 1986 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for his entire 2 year career.
