Ivy Griffin (Ivy Moore Griffin) was born on November 16, 1896 in Thomasville, Alabama. He made his Major League debut on September 9, 1919 for the Philadelphia Athletics. In 1920, his rookie year, he hit .238 with 0 home runs and 20 RBI. Griffin played for the Philadelphia Athletics for his entire 3 year career.
