Born on May 6, 1907 in Dora, Alabama, Ivy Andrews (Ivy Paul Andrews) played for the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, St. Louis Browns and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 8 year career. Andrews broke into the bigs on August 15, 1931 with the New York Yankees, and put up a 3.52 ERA in 166.1 innings pitched in 1932, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Ivy Andrews's best season was 1935, when he posted a 3.54 ERA and won 13 games.
