Ivey Wingo (Ivey Brown Wingo) was born on July 8, 1890 in Gainesville, Georgia. He made his Major League debut on April 20, 1911 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1912, his rookie year, he hit .265 with 2 home runs and 44 RBI. Wingo played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 17 year career.
