[edit] Biography

Ivan Calderon (Ivan (Perez) Calderon) was born on March 19, 1962 in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. He made his Major League debut on August 10, 1984 for the Seattle Mariners. In 1985, his rookie year, he hit .286 with 8 home runs and 28 RBI. Calderon played for the Seattle Mariners, Chicago White Sox, Montreal Expos and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 10 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Ivan Calderon's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1987, when he slugged 28 home runs, hit for a .293 average and knocked in 83 runs. However, others believe that it was 1990, when he stole 32 bases and knocked in 74 runs.
