Its All Over

[1] The season is over. The New York Mets are done. Losing to the Florida Marlins 8-1, crushed their dreams. This doesn't make sense. The Mets have talent, but can't succeed.
Tom Glavine was horrible. He pitched 1 inning, and allowed 7 runs. He didn't end his career successfully. "It's something that's going to take a while for us to get over," said Glavine.
The Mets used 8 pitchers, and struggled. The pitching is horrible. Allowing 8 runs, that's not acceptable. "Pitching always sets the tone for a game. Now we just hope we come out and hit like that again tomorrow and Tommy Glavine gives us what Johnny gave us." said Willie Randolph. It caused trouble. The Mets are "dead", with no help. Glavine pitched his worst game. It could be his last. "I want to go home and figure out what I want to do," Glavine said. "I'm disappointed. It's not the way I wanted to pitch."
The Marlins scored 7 runs in the first. Miguel Cabrera singled, and Dan Uggla scored. Chris Ross doubled, Carbera, Jeremy Hermida, and Ross scored. Dontrelle Willis got hit by pitch, and Mike Jacobs scored. Uggla doubled, Matt Treanor and Alejandro De Aza scored. The score was 7-0.
Carlos Beltran singled, and Luis Castillo scored. The score was 7-1.
Fifth inning, Da Aze singled. Ross scored. The finally score was 8-1.
The line-up gave up. They weren't productive. 2 hits was the most, and nobody produce. It's unbelievable, how they lost.
Second in the NL East, and the wild card. "It can't end this way", it just did. Blame the Mets, they control they're own. The team didn't believe, and its over. Changes will be made for next season. "It's going to be a long off season. I know I don't want to experience it again," Wright said. Omar Minaya needs to improve. He failed in the off-season. The starting rotation didn't improve, that's Minaya's problem. "Pitching" is the key.
"I'm the manager of the team. I accept full responsibility. I don't have any problem with that," Willie said. Willie needs anger, "Mr. Nice Guy" doesn't work. When teams slump, anger is helpful. He didn't motivate his players. No leadership, just failure.
"We're devastated, also," Willie said. "It's just a tough life lesson in baseball." Learn from this, it will help. Handling slumps shouldn't be new. Willie, wasn't formula with this fall. Now he knows, and help is needed. Willie shouldn't go. He's a great manager, but new. He will learn, give him time.
"The harder we pushed, the worse it got," said Billy Wagner. Nobody pushed, they gave up. The Mets lost 6 of 7 this week. A 100 percent wasn't given.
"It's definitely been a roller-coaster the last couple days," Sean Green said. "We just got in a funk at the wrong time." They weren't serious. Losing to horrible teams, it doesn't make sense. The World Series was possible, now it unrealistic.
The Philadelphia Phillies are cursing. Leading the NL East, wasn't expected. They were able to compete, and believe. Beating the Washington Nationals, give them the lead. "The Mets just hit a bad streak, and we were able to take advantage," general manager Pat Gillick said.
The Mets are hurt. "Golf" will be the game, while they're playoff spot is taken.
