It's time to party like it's 1995!

It's been awhile since I could say this, but I am absolutely psyched to be a Cleveland Indians fan.
Back in July I wrote this article which described in detail what the Indians were missing and what I believed led to the Tribe's demise in 2006: veteran experience.
The Tribe teams that went to the World Series had proven vets that had been to the Series to go along with their young talent. Last year they only had the young talent.
This year the Indians have brought in two proven vets from the World Series winning Boston Red Sox team of ott-four.
In addition to having Keith Foulke battle for the closer role, the Indians signed Trot Nixon to a one-year deal today.
Now the Indians have a veteran bat that can fit into the two-hole in the batting order, which was the team's biggest offensive question.
Nixon surely isn't in his prime, but neither were Eddie Murray, Dave Winfield, Tony Pena and Orel Hershiser when they came to Cleveland and made significant contributions in the mid-90s.
What makes it even more brilliant is all the older guys they've signed are only inked for one year leaving many options open for next winter.
The Indians have make a strong move in the right direction this off-season and they've won back the full-heart of this distraught and dissapointed fan.
It's an exciting time to be an Indians fan... as corny as it may sound: Go Tribe!
