I guess the first thing I'd like to do as a new member of Armchairgm is to introduce myself to all of you. My name is Bob Merc, and I'm from Scranton, Pa. I'm disabled with rheumatoid arthritis, so I'm pretty crippled up and home-bound for the most part. In August of 2005 I started blogging and doing a podcast called The Scranton Pa. Sports Shift...it was a localized kind of show that then spread into the national sports arena. In April of 2006, I submitted my show to Ray Garcia at TPSRadio.net and started doing a once-a-week "live" sports-talk show called The Shift...and I've been with TPSRadio.net ever since.
What is very cool is the fact that I mentioned this site to Ray, he got a hold of Dan, and now TPSRadio.net and Armchairgm have entered into a partnership to bring you the sports-fan not only the great writing you have here...but also 20 and growing live sports-talk shows at TPSRadio.net. At the TPSRadio site on the main page there are direct links to all the great writing you fans do here...and I must say being a journalist myself...this site has some fantastic perspective and views. My show airs every Tuesday at 6pm Eastern at www.tpsradio.net Also, I have a website I'm still tinkering with at www.goshift.net And my blog which archives all my shows is at www.scrantonpasportsshift.blogspot.com So, I'll be around here doing some writing for you and it is my extreme pleasure to be a part of such a great community of sports fans.
