Issue Number 1: It's Jeff Garica's World And We Just Work In It

Before I write up my first article here, I want to share with you my 9/11 post that I wrote on my other blog.
Six years ago, I was a high school junior.
My coworkers were amazed that I am that young.
And they are that old.
The sky was as blue and empty as I could ever think for a September.
This past Sunday, three Chinook helicopters flew over QWest Field.
As I watched a football game with my father.
I am unsure of where my political and religious allegiances lie today.
And I wasn't sure of it six years ago.
Through words, music and life it's not hard to question ways of life.
Can anyone be sure of what is the right way or the right answer?
I don't have the answers to those questions.
Not six years ago, not six minutes from now.
What I do know is I have been able to have both good and bad experiences with friends and family and that is what I appreciate.
The ability.
This is my 9/11 post.
This is my first article on armchairgm. I am also a contributor to the sportsblog Afraid Of Ed Hochuli and like the rest of the people here, I will share my opinions on the faces, places and events in sports and pop culture. I am a fan of websites like Deadspin and FARK. I listen whenever Peter Gammons, Tim Kurkjian and Kirk Herbstreit are on.
I don't listen much to Lee Corso. He smells funny.
Growing up, the athletes I admired (and still do) Ken Griffey, Junior and Michael Jordan. With Jordan obviously being the greatest basketball player I will ever see, KGJ along with Alex Rodriguez and Nolan Ryan will go down as the best baseball players I will ever see. I also have a fondness for the former Big Three in the form of pitchers John Smoltz, Greg Maddux and Tom Glavine. Over in the football world, there's this guy that plays for Green Bay, he wears number 4. Yeah, that guy, Brett Favre will always be one of my favorite football players and joining him are Kordell "Slash" Stewart and Thurman Thomas. Thomas was always money for me in NFL '95 on the Sega Genesis.
These days I still have a soft spot for the names mentioned above, but I have a new crop of favorites across the sports world. I have no doubt in my mind that whenever football season rolls around WWE Chairman Vince McMahon gets a little heavy in his pants because of the juggernaut machine that is Monday Night Football featuring one of the most entertaining on-screen personalities I've seen, Tony Kornheiser.
You heard me, McMahon fears Kornheiser.
And this is where my article moves forward to. The next and final section of my first article will be my opinions on a couple things in the wide world of sports. I hope you enjoy reading this and remember folks... 11 years until Rae Carruth is out of prison.
Jeff Garcia: I will tell you why this is called The Ironman Jeff Garcia. Because he is Ironman. In fact, he's beyond Ironman. He is indestructible. Everyone says he is too short to be a quarterback in the NFL, yet it doesn't stop him from suiting up and taking the field. He played for both Detroit and Cleveland and we all know how great the offensive lines are there. He is the human Timex watch. You can throw your linebackers and defensive line at him all you want, even take him out for a series or too, but he will always find his way back on the field and still ticking. Jeff Garcia is Mr. Indestructible.
Kevin Everett: May you have a speedy recovery and I hope you will be able to walk again.
Eric Magini & Bill Belichick: I don't know the details or the extent of whatever rivalry there is between the two of you. I just wonder how long before you guys settle it in a Steel Cage Deathmatch.
The Ironman Jeff Garcia

Here comes the Pain Train.....
