Israel Byrd (Israel Fabian Byrd) was born on February 1, 1971 in St. Louis, Missouri. After going to high school at Parkway Central (St. Louis, MO), Byrd attended Allen Hancock College and Utah State University. Byrd made his professional debut in the NFL in 1994 with the New Orleans Saints. He played for the New Orleans Saints and Tennessee Oilers over the course of his 3 year career.
