Not much more to say than that!  Could today have gone any better for Boston Sports...yeah sure Jermaine Dye may have been the icing on the cake!

But let's face it if you were to tell me Sunday morning by Tuesday we would have Eric Gagne, and Kevin Garnett, I would have said your crazy!

Awesome Day to be a Boston Sports Fan!

Peace and Happiness, GO SOX, GO PAT'S, GO Celts, C'mon Bruins it's time! Michael www.bosoxbuzz.com

Lets see.

The Pats loss a starting CB for the season today.

The Celtics may a trade. They are win now mode, for the future has been traded away. Sadly, the present is based on an aging Ray Allen, a fading Paul Pierce, and KG.

The Red Sox made some good moves today, however, the Tigers are still the team to beat in the AL.

Since when is Paul Pierce "fading" at 29, lol. His stats have not dropped off one bit. Just because he was injured last year? Also, he could have played at the end of last year if not for the tanking.

Look, the Pats beat the Eagles fair and square, get over it like I have with the Seahawks. The fact that the Phillies fans are cheering for 10,000 losses, the 76ers don't even have 10,000 fans, and the Eagles can't go moments without McNabb being hurt means nothing in this topic. :)

It's a Great day for Boston sports fans because for this day only, there is HOPE! (and 35 less-than-a-paragraph articles)

Tomorrow brings back the reality... It ain't 2004, KG isn't Larry Bird and Gagne will be Gag-Me before August is over... a forecast of bitching, moaning and smarmity until right before the Pats mathematically get eliminated from playoff contention and weeks before Danny Ainge effagies are burning...

Jeez, if every town's "sports" fans acted like Boston's... I seriously would have killed myself long ago (swiftly and messily).

So you mean if ever towns sports fans actually got excited about their teams and cared about their teams?

Boston fans don't get excited. They ejaculate prematurely - all over the internet. With articles that start out with "not much more to say" or have absolutely zero fact, content or reasonable thought to explain why the moves they make are so GREAT.

Boston fans see things through ridiculously slanted viewpoints (like Sports Guy's). Few Boston fans know what the word objective means. Boston fans know nore about their players than the games they play. And don't get me started on how many trendy "sports fans" gravitate to Boston... Not even ten years ago I could count how many Pats and BoSox fans I knew. It's about the same number of rational Pats and BoSox fans I know today (zero IS a number).

There's passionate and then there's wicked awesome Myopia...

The Sox best move today was the one they didn't make. Adding Jermaine Dye would have torn that dugout apart. At least Wily Mo can accept not playing. Dye's only hope for playing is if Papi's issues are bigger than we think. As far as adding Gagne, we'll see. I have my doubts, but put him in the eighth, after Okajima in the seventh, or Gagne in the seventh after whomever starts, I can see him succeeding in large doses the rest of the year.

I agree. Adding Dye was pointless, and they shouldn't have got him. Willy Mo is a good guy on the bench. Gagne for Gabbard and two minor leaguers? eeh. You're right. I dunno yet. It all depends on his health. Quite frankly, I thought it was a bad trade. We got three good relievers as it is, and when Schil is gone, who are we going to have for a 5th starter? Tavarez? No friggin way. Epstein better make a move during the offseason. He usually does well with acquiring people in the offseason though, so, we'll see what happens after Schilling leaves.

Things were good in Boston before these moves were made (other than the Celtics). After all, the Red Sox have been in 1st the ENTIRE season, and the Patriots made some unbelieveable offseason moves and are a Super Bowl contender. The C's adding KG only makes the rich get richer for you lucky Boston fans.

We're excited. We're reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally excited, probably more than we should be. When you have a long-suffering franchise acquire a player that has the potential to make it competitive again, it's exciting. I compare it to Shaq and the Heat-Shaq was obviously younger than KG, but Shaq made basketball hot in Miami. KG is making basketball exciting again in Boston.

and the Heat won a title primarily because of Dwyane Wade... Good Luck! You'll need it! (Ask Timberwolves fans)

No, they were 15 strong! =) Shaq was pretty impotent against Dallas in the Finals (and only 18pt-9reb average in the playoffs) - Hell, Wade even led the team in rebounding twice during the Finals!

If they don't make the playoffs, and everyone is healthy, Doc Rivers is the reason why.

Making the playoffs is not the issue. It's how far the Celts will go. Everyone knows they'll make the playoffs.

That's just how bad Doc is, there is the possibility of that happening.
