Isaiah "J.R." Rider Update

Oakland police arrested former NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion Isaiah "J.R." Rider early Sunday morning at his Oakland Hills home on felony cocaine charges. While the amount of cocaine has not been made public, a police official did say that the arrest happened at around 5 am. Rider is already awaiting trial on a kidnapping charge. Rider played in the NBA from 1994 to 2002 his last stint being with the Denver Nuggets.

He ain't a player. As this news story indicates, he has been out of the NBA since 2002. No Bad Boy for him. Just going to get a cell with Bubba, who has been dying for a new girlfriend since his last one got shanked....

he was the original, he passed the torch to the Rasheed Wallace/Damon Stoudamire weed team, it was passed to Travis Outlaw, and now Zach Randolph has the title. JR is still the original though.

Why Travis Outlaw? Is it because his name is Outlaw? He hasn't gotten into a bit of trouble in his time here. I would say that Sheed and Damon passed it onto Zach and Darius.
