Is the CFL better than the NFL?

Again you are hitting on something for which the majority of users on this site are uninterested in debating. I have tried to swing users to the CFL for over a year. It has taken that long just to get a few users interested in particular teams.

I think that the CFL is a better league for the offensive minded. But, I am a bit jaded.

I personally think it isn't. You have the normal fields, no weird scoring named after makeup, the better athletes, and no stoners screwing anything up. That's what I think about the Canadian League vs. our NFL. Ultimately, I think NFL players playing a Canadian style game would be a blast.

When to Montreal Canada to see Jarrett Payton play. The best football game I ever saw! I’m hook to the CFL! Love the more open passing attacks! I love the fact that CFL, doesn't have the super egos of the NFL so it is more about the game and less about the players! Just love it! As far as the rules, they make it a much more interesting game down north. The Grey Cup always beats the Super Bowl for entertainment I heard. I saw football like it should be played.

i reckon that the nfl is the most overhyped league of all time.of the 30 teams-22 arent worth a crap.in the cfl-7 of the 8 teams are competitive-only hamilton is finished.there is still hope for calgary or edmonton.i love the cfl-it isnt dragged out like the nfl.hey how bout saskatchewan finally getting a home playoff game.that will earn them a trip to bc for west title.the argos should pass up the alhouettes for 2nd and hopefully play for the grey cup. happy thanksgiving you all.

nfl vs CFL well if you ask me the nfl is the most hyped up sports league ever all it is is lights smoke and mirrors the players are all overweight over paid and way over hyped in terms of broadcasters' televised quality' nfl wins.Are CFL game is way more exiting better athletes and role models'you get alot of nfl players coming over here who cant even crack the starting lineup so that should tell all you nfl followers something ' your league is overrated . The NFL is too congestedwhenever I watch it I think the field and endzone are too small and that you could QB sneak it every play and get a touchdown

I'm into both sports. Yes. Both sports. They are two different games with different rules. Sure they are similar, but in the end they are different. I've found however, as a canuck living in the great north, that the NFL is exciting from the hype. That's pretty much it... Unfortunately. The CFL on the other hand is exciting nearly every game. With three downs unstead of four, you get a faster paced game with more action. The CFL has a high turnaround rate, which means the game isn't won at halftime when the winning team is up by 27 points. Hell, a couple of touchdowns and a hail mary upon the last four minutes of the last quarter. Nothing's more exciting then the lingering hope that hey.. My team can still win. (Which I find myself turning the old idiot box off at the third quarter knowing Greenbay had lost. ) Nfl is a little more predictable, each player looking out for their fortunes instead of actually playing the game. Cfl is nice knowing that most the players have a second job, and that the game is for the game, not for the couple grand they might make. (Now if only machocha quit, and let a competent coach take over, the eskimos might reclaim their winning streak. )

I've been in the US now for 15 years. I was in Canada my first 19 years. I have watched both football leagues. The CFL is hands down more exciting, fast paced and spontaneous. The NFL is more methodical, war-like, and strategic. I like both, but if I had to choose, I'd watch the CFL, because I personally love the passing game, more open space for longer kick returns, hail mary's, etc. There's just more action. Isn't that what sports are about? This is why I think baseball is a complete joke. It's a game, not a sport. Long live the CFL!
