Is Pujols 26?

I don't have a reason to think he's not. He's not like one of these guys that's born in the Dominican Republic and comes to the US just to play pro ball. He's been in the U.S. for quite some time, went to college in Missouri. Usually when a guy is in the U.S. for that amount of time, his real age gets revealed eventually. As for his receding hairline, that's actually pretty common. I know tons of guys in their early 20s that are bald or balding. You can look for it in sports, in particular, as high levels of testosterone actually lead to premature baldness.

I think Pujols, for lack of a better word, is a mutant. Most people can't do what he does.

Definitely. I know plenty of guys who have drastically receding hairlines at much younger ages than 26; my college roommate was approaching bald at 20. It's hardly uncommon. By looking at him, I have no reason to think he's not the reported age. Plenty of people look older or younger than they really are; it's hardly a cause for suspicion.

This is the worst part of the steriod era. Everytime a player is good, like Pujols, we have to question whether or not he's juiced.

High fever, severe infection, major surgery, significant life stressor,Thyroid disease,innadequate protien,meds, cancer treatment, low iron, Alopecia and infections and oh yeah...heredity are factors for hairloss too...I agree with Ben...just cause they are on top doesnt mean they r juicing. Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth,Willie Mays...They MUST have been juiced...Pujols is 26, roid free, he's amazing, talented and that's it.
