Is Moss really an option for Packers?

I've been hearing whispers and rumbles about the Green Bay Packers being interested in Oakland Raiders receiver Randy Moss. Supposedly, Brett Favre is the one pushing a move. For the most part I have dismissed it as mostly hearsay. After all, it's mainly been callers into sports talk radio who have brought the topic up. But now SI.com has even mentioned a move for Moss to Green Bay.
By now most people have heard that Moss has voiced his opinion that he wants out of Oakland and isn't even interested in talking to newly hired head coach Lane Kiffin. "Kiffin supposedly attempted to contact the 29-year-old Moss over the weekend, ready to talk with his most daunting challenge for the upcoming season.
"Sending the veteran receiver to Green Bay seems more likely, simply because of Favre's pressing desire to win. It is very unlikely, though, that the Packers are willing to send either their first round (No. 16 overall) or second round (No. 47 overall) draft choice to Oakland for Moss alone. A third-rounder appears more probable, though Al Davis may not agree with the low compensation."
I really hope they don't go after Moss. He is only a distraction. The Packers have built a young, hardworking football team. A guy like Moss will only become a cancer and become a headache for Favre and QB of the future, Aaron Rodgers
