Is McHale finally getting it right?

There has been much trial and tribulation on the timberwolves front for the past few years. The signings of Sam Cassell and Latrell Sprewell were supposed to put the timberwolves over the top and finally get them past that first round in the playoffs. Well, they got past the first round, only to get ousted by Kobe, Shaq, and the Lakers. Fast forward. The t-wolves now have a new head coach and everything was looking down after the 05-06 season. The Cassell trade for Jaric blew up in their face and there were rumors that KG would be dealt for younger talent. Their solid looking rookie, Rashad McCants, looked like he would be out for the the whole season. Kevin McHale seemed to be able to get his act together for the draft though, despite the seemingly strange move where they drafted Brandon Roy, only to trade him for Randy Foye seconds later (although they could have grabbed him with their original pick).
Today the news broke. Mike James from the Toronto Raptors would be signing with the Minnesota Timberwolves. James is a combo guard who averages just 20 Points per game last season. Recently there have been rumors that the wolves would make a move to add Darius Miles to their roster as well. Almost every other trade and signing by McHale has been terrible in recent history, but things are finally looking up. Adding a center into the mix along with Miles, James, Garnett, and Davis would make this one of the better lineups in the NBA. Is this team finally going in the right direction by adding talent around KG? We will see this upcoming season, but things are finally looking up for a team that once dominated the western conference (until the playoffs of course).
