Irving Pearlman (Irving Ralph Pearlman) was born on July 29, 1898 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Fifth Avenue (Pittsburgh, PA), Pearlman attended the University of Pittsburgh. Pearlman made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Cleveland Tigers. He played in the APFA for 2 years, playing for the Cleveland Tigers the entire time. Pearlman also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Rochester Jeffersons the entire time.
