Irvin Phillips (Irvin Jerome Phillips) was born on January 23, 1960 in Leesburg, Florida. After going to high school at Sarasota (FL), Phillips attended Arkansas Tech University. Phillips made his professional debut in the NFL in 1981 with the San Diego Chargers. He played for the Los Angeles Raiders and San Diego Chargers over the course of his 2 year career.
Most people believe that 1981 was Irvin Phillips's best year.
