Ink Williams (Jay Mayo Williams) was born on July 25, 1894. After going to high school at Monmouth (IL), Williams attended Brown University. Williams made his professional debut in the APFA in 1921 with the Hammond Pros. He played in the APFA for 1 year, playing for the Hammond Pros the entire time. Williams also played in the NFL for 5 years, playing for the Hammond Pros the entire time.
Most people believe that 1923 was Ink Williams's best year, as he ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
