Imus earned his pink slip

Don Imus's show has always been about making fun of others based on their personality, race, sex, gender, color, size, action, and their behavior.
It has been a shtick that has made him successful for years. It was viewed as funny by uneducated people and Imus himself.
It is only fitting that his shtick got him fired from MSNBC couple of days ago and now CBS Radio yesterday afternoon. His comment about Rutgers players being “nappy-headed hoes” was the last straw.
The question is what took so long?
It was long time coming for this guy. His radio show was garbage for years.
It had zero insight or knowledge whatsoever. Whenever he had guests on, he would mock them rather than letting them speak.
It was just a joke and disgrace that he has been on the airwaves for that long.
There is an argument about how Imus has that free speech right. What free speech? There is a time and place to use free speech.
Making racial jokes is something that should never be tolerated. It is not even funny.
The last thing young kids need is to learn filthy language and Imus has been promoting this for a very long time ago.
If you or I or anyone said these things that Imus say, we get fired and deservedly so. This should be no different for the I-Man.
It is one thing if he made a mistake like this one time, but he has been doing this for years.
Go search through Wikipedia and you will see a laundry list of Imus's controversies. It is just amazing how everyone was living under a rock all these decades and not call him out.
The bottom line is Imus is a horrible, human being. Go ask anyone who has ever worked with him and they will tell stories about the way he treats people and how he has zero respect for anyone.
Howard Stern is a great example. He used to work with him during their days at WNBC-AM.
Stern ripped Imus over the years on his show. He talked about how Imus once said the n-word to a employee that used to work on WNBC-AM in New York.
He talked about how the I-Man once treated Stern's best friend and sidekick, Robin Quivers like garbage and how he was very rude to him.
Stern was viewed as petty, jealous man. It turns out that he has been right all along about this horrible person.
Do not bother about talking about the good things that he does for kids who are sick. What exactly is the point about talking about it when he negates it by being an idiot.
Any one can do a good things like donating money or helping people, but it is a generalization to say that person is a good person because we do not know if he or she has personal demons that are plaguing him or her as we saw with Imus.
It has been great to see him squirm this entire week. It does not feel good for him when the tables are being turned.
This is for what he has done for others over the years. It was a great day yesterday. Hopefully, people like him will think twice when they speak.
There is no place, time, or opportunity to degrade people for what they are and use nasty language to describe them. It is 2007. It is time for us to start being articulated and start talking like we are smart.
Imus is 66 years old. Now that he has plenty of time in his hands, he could use this opportunity to learn how to act like a human being in his final days of his life.
