Ike Owens (Isaiah H. Owens) was born on January 8, 1921 in Columbus, Georgia. After going to high school at Roosevelt (Gary, IN), Owens attended the University of Illinois. Owens made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1948 with the Chicago Rockets. He played for the Chicago Rockets for his entire 1 year career.
