Ike Caveney (James Christopher Caveney) was born on December 10, 1894 in San Francisco, California. He made his Major League debut on April 12, 1922 for the Cincinnati Reds. In 1922, his rookie year, he hit .239 with 3 home runs and 54 RBI. Caveney played for the Cincinnati Reds for his entire 4 year career.

Most people believe that Ike Caveney's best season was 1923, when he hit for a .277 average and knocked in 63 runs.
