Ike Boone (Isaac Morgan Boone) was born on February 17, 1897 in Samantha, Alabama. He made his Major League debut on April 22, 1922 for the Boston Red Sox. In 1924, his rookie year, he hit .337 with 13 home runs and 98 RBI. Boone played for the Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, Brooklyn Robins and Brooklyn Dodgers over the course of his 6 year career.
Most people believe that Ike Boone's best season was 1924, when he hit for a .337 average and knocked in 98 runs.
