If I Did It? IF????

Well, by now we've probably all heard about Orenthal James Simpson's new book that's coming out, titled If I Did It, of course referring to the murders he is now infamously tied to. But, you know, he didn't do it...I mean, ALL of the evidence pointed towards his innocence.
I'm sorry, but doesn't it seem like he's trying just a little too hard here? If he really didn't do it, then why does he feel he needs to come out with a book to explain how he would have done it if he had committed the murders? Isn't that kind of bad taste? To describe how you would have killed someone (or in OJ's case, describe what he would have done differently to better cover up his murders)?
I find this whole scenario amusing. Seriously OJ, you're fifteen minutes are up. We know you want to make some extra cash and get a little more attention, but let's think about bringing up another subject. Is he trying to say that if he "really" was guilty, then he wouldn't come out with a book like this, that he would just put it to bed?
OJ, let's just count our blessings while we have them. You got away with murder...literally. I wouldn't go testing those waters again.
The whole book and interview that will be showing on TV just before the book comes out just seems like it's in really bad taste. OJ "hypothetically describes how the murders would have been committed" if he had been the one to do it. Am I the only one who thinks this is incredibly inappropriate?
OJ writing a book called If I Did It is like the Pope writing a book called If I Was Catholic or Mark Mangino writing a book called If I Needed To Lose Weight.
