Stewart is just about ready, but with Garrett Atkins in Colorado, there is no place for him to go. The Rockies did field offers for Atkins at the Winter Meetings but the most likely scenario is Atkins moving to first base in 2009 after the departure of Todd Helton. Stewart has plus power and has learned to use the whole field, although at times he resorts to his previous pull happy hitting style. Stewart is plus defensively at third with quick feet and a strong arm, the Rockies last year actually tried him at second in an order to get his bat in the lineup. Will start at Triple A Colorado Springs.
