I think Manny could stand to spend a little more time contributing to the other areas of the site, like our encyclopedia/dictionary (Mr. Stiles is currently 62nd in edits, which means his articles are just about his only contributions to AGM).

1) I don't think it's wrong to post a topic for discussion. An opinion article can gather opinions as well as give them. 2) This post has nothing to do with sports, news or opinionwise, so in a way you're contradicting yourself. 3) I agree with you to some point (some of his posts are a little out there) but I don't think censorship or public humiliation is the answer, this is a free site after all, we're not paying to be on here. 4) If censorship and public humilation was the answer, I have someone else I think is more deserving, but I won't mention any screennames.

Honestly, someone had to point this out. If articles like these are not controlled, we'll be going to the sportscolumn.com system where only articles that get enough votes are posted to the front page.

Public humiliation haha. Manny will probably love this and make fun of my mother in the process. Of course, it's not about sports. I do not want it to be.

You are complaining about Manny's articles being an embarrasment, but yet this article also serves no purpose. Please tell me, what was the purpose of this article? To get him to stop writing? This is a wiki, anyone can write an article here. TO get people to stop voting for his articles? Apparently, people like his articles because they vote for them, so are you trying to convince them not to like his articles? So waht exactly is the purpose of this article? To let everyone know that you dont like Manny? Please explain.

I agree with a lot of your points, but I don't think this is the right forum.

This is a free forum. Manny is entitled to post whatever he wants. If you don't like his articles, don't vote for them. If what he is doing is so bad (i don't think they are) no one will talk about them or vote for them and he will most likely give up on the site.

Manny is annoying as all hell most of the time and he posts way too much; perhaps he could tone it down a bit or look up a few things to back his opinions up. But he does generate insteresting content.

"Censorship is the new black" wow. that was out there. i think manny is doing exactly what a good writer should-he creates articles that cause a lot of stir and if you look at the number of responses to his articles, you'd be quite surprised. At first, I hated him for taking my spot on the rankings, but it only made me better for it.

I think the fact that Manny has almost half of the comments on this post, this post did exactly what Manny wants: It give him more attention. Congrats to Manny to achieving your goal and playing all of us. :-)

TO WTT's point, It bothers me that people get articles promoted that are only a para in length, but to that end, most of the people who write them are attempting to engage in discussion rather than write an article. So really what manny is doing is promoting an opinionated discussion. Perhaps if we differentiated the two it would make more sense? Regardless, I don't really care if someone passes me, I just want my own articles promoted in the hopes that maybe someone reads them?!

If it's not article material, it shouldn't be in the good stuff. There should just be some generic message board where Manny can place his random musings. Leave the front page to what deserves to be there.

Read my "Should Iverson Play For The Celtics" And we all know how to break the armchairgm rankings system, so I do not care about how quick you can fly up the charts. But give me substance. Otherwise, I do not have any respect for you.
