Hurles Scales (Hurles Eulis Scales) was born on December 1, 1950 in Amarillo, Texas. After going to high school at Amarillo (TX), Scales attended Cisco JC and the University of North Texas. Scales made his professional debut in the NFL in 1974 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the Green Bay Packers and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1975 was Hurles Scales's best year.
