Hunter Smith (Hunter Dwight Smith) was born on August 9, 1977 in Sherman, Texas. After going to high school at Sherman (TX), Smith attended the University of Notre Dame. Smith made his professional debut in the NFL in 1999 with the Indianapolis Colts. He has played for the Indianapolis Colts for his entire 8 year career.

Most people believe that 2003 was Hunter Smith's best year, as he dropped 20 punts inside the 20 and had a 42.2 yard punt average.
