Hugh Bedient

Born on October 23, 1889 in Gerry, New York, Hugh Bedient (Hugh Carpenter Bedient) played for the Boston Red Sox and Buffalo Blues over the course of his 4 year career. Bedient broke into the bigs on April 26, 1912 with the Boston Red Sox, and put up a 2.92 ERA in 231 innings pitched in 1912, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Hugh Bedient's best season was 1912, when he posted a 2.92 ERA, won 20 games and struck out 122 batters.
