Hubie Brooks (Hubert Brooks) was born on September 24, 1956 in Los Angeles, California. He made his Major League debut on September 4, 1980 for the New York Mets. In 1981, his rookie year, he hit .307 with 4 home runs and 38 RBI. Brooks played for the New York Mets, Montreal Expos, Los Angeles Dodgers, California Angels and Kansas City Royals over the course of his 15 year career.

Most people believe that Hubie Brooks's best season was 1985, when he knocked in 100 runs.
