Hub Barker (Hubert Lyle Barker) was born on November 12, 1918 in Welch, Arkansas. After going to high school at Welch (OK), Barker attended the University of Arkansas. Barker made his professional debut in the NFL in 1943 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 3 year career.

Most people believe that 1944 was Hub Barker's best year.
