Howie Weiss (Howard William Weiss) was born on October 12, 1917 in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. After going to high school at Fort Atkinson (WI), Weiss attended the University of Wisconsin. Weiss made his professional debut in the NFL in 1939 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 2 year career.
Most people believe that 1940 was Howie Weiss's best year.
