Howie Auer (Howard Joseph Auer) was born on January 9, 1908 in Detroit, Michigan. After going to high school at Central (Bay City, MI), Auer attended the University of Michigan. Auer made his professional debut in the NFL in 1933 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles for his entire 1 year career.
