Howard Simpson (Howard Jesse Simpson) was born on December 14, 1942 in Lancaster, South Carolina. After going to high school at Marietta (GA), Simpson attended Auburn University. Simpson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1964 with the Minnesota Vikings. He played for the Minnesota Vikings for his entire 1 year career.
