Howard Mudd (Howard Edward Mudd) was born on February 10, 1942 in Midland, Michigan. After going to high school at Midland (MI), Mudd attended Hillsdale College and Michigan State University. Mudd made his professional debut in the NFL in 1964 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played for the San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that 1967 was Howard Mudd's best year.
