How the hell do I install this thing?!
How the hell do I install this thing?! Like, I've been trying all day, and it just won't work! And I want to know one thing: How? The hell? Do I install? This thing?
Okay, let me start at the beginning. So, the other day I'm cruising the mall with my buddy Dean, and we see it in Electronics Boutique's front window: Brian Lara International Cricket 2007. Oh, yeah, you know how I roll. And you know I've just gotta get my Brian Lara on. So I slap down the £17.98, and there it is, cricket bliss, just an install away! I was totally stoked. So I go home, fire up the old Dellsky, and put the disc in. Requirements: Windows: 1 GHz, 256MB RAM, Windows 98 or higher. Check and check. But as soon as I start the install, my computer crashes like Haley Joel Osment's Saturn!
Now, I'm no Bob Gates, for sure, but all I ask is that Brian Lara International Cricket 2007 run smoothly on my computer without using too much virtual memory. I inquire of you, is that too much to ask? I asked at work if anybody could help me, so one of the tech nerds came over and said he needed to check my memory usage, my RAM commit charge, my AGP aperture size, whether or not my BIOS is set for shadowing, etc. But he couldn't find the problem, and now I'm stuck needing a Brian Lara fix bad. The worst part is that it runs fine on Dean's PC, which is older and crappier than mine!
Bottom line: I'm going to install this game if it kills me. Or my computer. Or Brian Lara himself.
On second thought, maybe I should just get a Wii.
