Horace Jones (Horace Arthur Jones) was born on July 31, 1949 in Pensacola, Florida. After going to high school at Washington (Pensacola, FL), Jones attended the University of Louisville. Jones made his professional debut in the NFL in 1971 with the Oakland Raiders. He played for the Oakland Raiders and Seattle Seahawks over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that 1974 was Horace Jones's best year, as he recovered 3 opponents fumbles.
