Hooks Warner (Hoke Hayden Warner) was born on May 22, 1894 in Del Rio, Texas. He made his Major League debut on August 21, 1916 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1916, his rookie year, he hit .238 with 2 home runs and 14 RBI. Warner played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 4 year career.
