Homer Summa

Homer Summa (Homer Wayne Summa) was born on November 3, 1898 in Gentry, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on September 13, 1920 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1923, his rookie year, he hit .328 with 3 home runs and 69 RBI. Summa played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Cleveland Indians and Philadelphia Athletics over the course of his 10 year career.
Most people believe that Homer Summa's best season was 1926, when he hit for a .308 average and knocked in 76 runs.
