Homer Hobbs (Homer Brown Hobbs) was born on February 13, 1923 in Lexington, South Carolina. After going to high school at Lexington (SC), Hobbs attended the University of Georgia. Hobbs made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1949 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played in the AAFC for 1 year, playing for the San Francisco 49ers the entire time. Hobbs also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the San Francisco 49ers the entire time.
