Homer Elias (Homer Cary Elias) was born on May 1, 1955 in Fort Benning, Georgia. After going to high school at Mount Olive (Seale, AL), Elias attended Tennessee State University. Elias made his professional debut in the NFL in 1978 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 7 year career.
