Home field advantage

The natural edge the home team has due to fans, stadium enviorment, weather conditions, etc. In some sports, such as baseball, this may be reflected by actual rules of the game.

During the playoffs, an advantage it is given to the best performing teams during the regular season, where they would play the majority of games at that site (including the final game, if necessary). In a best-of 7, this would be 4 home games for the team with the better record.
