Born on July 5, 1894 in Muncie, Indiana, Hod Eller (Horace Owen Eller) played for the Cincinnati Reds for his entire 5 year career. Eller broke into the bigs on April 16, 1917 with the Cincinnati Reds, and put up a 2.36 ERA in 152.1 innings pitched in 1917, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Hod Eller's best season was 1919, when he posted a 2.39 ERA, won 19 games and struck out 137 batters.
