Hobe Ferris (Albert Samuel Ferris) was born on December 7, 1874 in Trowbridge, England. He made his Major League debut on April 26, 1901 for the Boston Americans. In 1901, his rookie year, he hit .250 with 2 home runs and 63 RBI. Ferris played for the Boston Americans and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that Hobe Ferris's best season was 1903, when he knocked in 66 runs.
