Highball Wilson

Born on August 9, 1878 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Highball Wilson (Howard Paul Wilson) played for the Cleveland Spiders, Philadelphia Athletics and Washington Senators over the course of his 4 year career. Wilson broke into the bigs on September 13, 1899 with the Cleveland Spiders, and put up a 2.43 ERA in 96.1 innings pitched in 1902, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Highball Wilson's best season was 1903, when he posted a 3.31 ERA and struck out 56 batters.
