High School Freshman commits to USC

Stupid Freshman! These are the words in which uperclassman use to describe the new freshman. Well, a freshman by the name of Dwayne Pollee Jr. is 14 years old and is yet to play a high school basketball game. I repeat: He has never played a high school game. Even our very own ArmchairGM user Beast has done this. However, the Beast obviously lacks the athletic ability to earn a NCAA SCOLARSHIP AT AGE 16. Wait, this kid has done it at FOURTEEN.

USC Head Coach Tim Floyd offered him a scholarship and now he’s commited to USC. It’s not binding or anything, but still, 14 years old?!?!? Remember Taylor King did this same thing by commiting to UCLA, but went on to change his mind.

He'll change schools at least two more times before he actually enrolls. But I agree, 14 years old is a little young to getting these kids to commit. Let them enjoy their high school years a little bit.

I don't know, high school might be considerably more enjoyable without the worry of where or if you were attending college. If he as a freshman knows he has a full ride already paid for at a reputable institution, I can't imagine a better scenario.

Its not binding, its just talk, and at best a publicity stunt. This kid will change schools if he pans out. Also let him become a flop on his highschool squad lets see how eager USC is to have him then. Or let Tim Floyd get fired
