Hick Cady (Forrest Leroy Cady) was born on January 26, 1886 in Bishop Hill, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on April 26, 1912 for the Boston Red Sox. In 1912, his rookie year, he hit .259 with 0 home runs and 9 RBI. Cady played for the Boston Red Sox and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that Hick Cady's best season was 1915, when he hit for a .278 average.
