Born on August 8, 1884 in Roseville, Illinois, Hi West (James Hiram West) played for the Cleveland Naps for his entire 2 year career. West broke into the bigs on September 8, 1905 with the Cleveland Naps, and put up a 3.76 ERA in 64.2 innings pitched in 1911, his rookie year.
