Herschel Stockton (Willis Herschel Stockton) was born on December 29, 1913 in Abilene, Texas. After going to high school at Crosbyton (TX), Stockton attended McMurry University. Stockton made his professional debut in the NFL in 1937 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles for his entire 2 year career.
